The granary is situated in the parish of Hartland North Devon at Pattard which is a 90 acre farm. This is an area of outstanding Natural beauty with its wooded valley and cliff top walks. It is within easy reach of Hartland (0.5 miles) and the coast (approx 2 miles). Hartland boasts 3 pubs which serve food in addition there is Hartland Quay which as the name implies is on the coast and is approx 2.5 miles away. Hartland also has a variety of shops including, bakers, general store post office and Fish & Chip shop. Other local attractions include Hartland Abbey (approx 1.5 mile walk down the valley) the picturesque village of Clovelly (4 miles) The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Rosemoor Gardens , The Gnome Reserve, Dartington Crystal and Killarney Springs. As we are so close to the coast there are a number of secluded coves locally or if you prefer the more commercialised golden miles of sand Westwood Ho! and Bude are 20 minutes or so away by car. Hartland carnival week is the first full week August culminating in the carnival procession on the Saturday night at the end of that week ( 07/08/04 ).
